The 313th Brigade, also known as the Freemen of Aqrab, was a Free Syrian Army unit operating around the town of Aqrab in southwest Hama governorate, with an occasional presence across the border in Homs. It was formed in mid-2013, partly as a reaction to activities of sectarian Islamist groups in the area. The group's leaders condemned sectarianism and tried to protect Aqrab's remaining religious minorities. It worked closely with Liwa Ahfad Othman, which operated nearby.
